Lado Gudiashvili
Painting
Lado Gudiashvili was a Georgian painter and graphic artist whose modernist practice emerged in the early twentieth century alongside the development of a distinctly Georgian artistic identity. Working in oil, watercolor, and printmaking, he synthesized European avant-garde influence with local cultural motifs and the chromatic intensity of the Caucasus landscape. Active across painting, illustration, and stage design, Gudiashvili remained a central figure in Georgian art from the 1920s through the post-war period.
