Lado Gudiashvili was a Georgian painter, graphic artist, and stage designer whose modernist practice fused European avant-garde idioms with local cultural motifs and the chromatic intensity of the Caucasus landscape. Working across oil, watercolor, and printmaking from the 1920s onward, he helped establish a distinctly Georgian artistic identity in the early twentieth century. A central figure in Georgian art through the post-war period, Gudiashvili synthesized formal innovation with regional specificity.
