Lawrence Atkinson was a British painter and sculptor who engaged with modernist abstraction and constructivist principles during the early twentieth century. Working in oil and bronze, he bridged painting and three-dimensional form through geometric composition and the investigation of color's relationship to spatial structure. Active during a period of radical formal experimentation in Britain, his work remains understudied in the canonical history of early modernism.
