Almir Mavignier was a Brazilian painter and printmaker whose abstract work emerged from postwar geometric abstraction and concrete art movements. Working primarily in oil and screen print, he developed a disciplined approach to color relationships and modular composition that bridged European constructivism with Latin American modernism. Active across multiple decades, Mavignier's practice remained rooted in the investigation of form, line, and chromatic interaction within rigorously structured pictorial fields.
