Ken Gonzales-Day is an American artist and scholar working primarily in photography and archival research. His practice investigates historical violence, particularly racial terror and lynching in the American West, through collected photographs, documents, and institutional critique. Working across exhibition, publication, and curatorial projects, he examines how photographic evidence becomes a tool for historical accountability and memory. His research challenges dominant narratives of regional innocence and expands the geographic and temporal scope of American racial violence.
