Nest of Tens

Miranda July is an American artist, filmmaker, and performer working across video, installation, and live performance since the 1990s. Her practice merges confessional autobiography with formal experimentation, often employing low-fi video, text, and her own body as primary materials. She has exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art and the Whitney Biennial. Her work privileges awkwardness, vulnerability, and humor as compositional strategies, resisting polished production values in favor of direct, often discomfiting intimacy with the viewer.
