Steve Wolfe is an American artist known for meticulous trompe-l'oeil sculptures of books, records, and printed ephemera, rendered in oil, screenprint, and modeling paste on wood. His painstakingly handcrafted replicas compress autobiography, literary history, and material culture into objects that hover between painting and sculpture. His work is held by the Whitney Museum of American Art.
