Krizia was an Italian fashion designer and entrepreneur who founded her eponymous house in Milan in 1954. Working primarily in haute couture and ready-to-wear textiles, she became known for bold geometric patterns, vibrant color combinations, and innovative fabric treatments that departed from the restraint of postwar Italian design. Her collections emphasized experimental construction and playful ornamentation, establishing Milan as a center of fashion innovation alongside Paris. She remained active in design until her death in 2015.
