Teiji Furuhashi
Teiji Furuhashi was a Japanese artist and filmmaker whose practice merged performance, video, and installation in explorations of the body, desire, and social transgression. Working primarily in the 1980s and early 1990s, he created immersive, often provocative environments that challenged conventional boundaries between spectator and performer. His work engaged with themes of sexuality, mortality, and collective experience through multimedia interventions that combined sound, projection, and live presence. Furuhashi's practice was cut short by his death in 1995 at age 34.
