Printmaking
Zhang Peili is a Chinese artist working primarily in video and installation since the 1980s. A pioneer of video art in mainland China, his practice engages surveillance, language, and the mechanics of broadcast media through repetitive, durational sequences that expose the constructed nature of communication. His work has been presented internationally and forms part of the historical record of contemporary Chinese art's emergence in the post-Mao period.
