Artist

Raimund Abraham was an Austrian-American architect and visionary whose drawings and theoretical projects articulated radical spatial geometries that existed largely outside built practice. Working primarily in ink and graphite, Abraham developed intricate compositional systems exploring the relationship between void, surface, and structural logic. His speculative architecture emerged as a distinctive intellectual position in postwar experimental design discourse, distinguished by an almost obsessive precision in line and proportion rather than material realization.
