Warren MacKenzie was an American craft potter and is often referred to as the "master" or "father" of the American ceramic art in the mingei tradition. He was also a strong believer in utilitarian pottery and, despite being able to fetch higher prices in galleries, priced his pieces accessibly in his own self-service showroom so people would feel they could use his works.
