Gianfranco Frattini was an Italian designer and architect whose practice spanned furniture, lighting, and interior systems from the 1950s onward. Working primarily in Milan during the postwar reconstruction, he developed a modernist vocabulary that balanced functional rationalism with material warmth, often collaborating with manufacturers to translate sculptural forms into production. His work appeared in major Italian design exhibitions and helped establish the aesthetic principles of Italian mid-century design.
