Haus-Rucker-Co was an Austrian collaborative practice active from 1967 to 1992, known for experimental inflatables and pneumatic installations that transformed architectural space into immersive sensory environments. The group pioneered the use of plastic and air-pressure technology to create temporary, participatory structures that challenged conventional notions of the building envelope. Their work bridged sculpture, architecture, and performance, often incorporating light, sound, and haptic experience into expansive installations that engaged the viewer's entire body. The practice remains foundational to contemporary inflatable and temporary architecture.
