Marcia Resnick was an American artist and photographer working in staged self-portraiture and conceptual performance. Born in 1950, she developed a practice centered on constructed identity and the manipulation of photographic narrative during the 1970s and 1980s. Her work interrogated the relationship between the self, the camera, and representation through color photography and mixed media.
