Vladimir Veličković was a Serbian painter and draftsman whose expressive figuration emerged from postwar European art discourse. Working primarily in graphite, ink, and oil, he developed a gestural vocabulary centered on fragmented human forms and psychological intensity. His work engaged with existential themes and the formal vocabulary of abstraction while maintaining figuration as its anchor. Veličković exhibited internationally and remains a significant figure in postwar Serbian modernism.
