Portrait of W.H.
<p>Trained at the School of the Art Institute, Michael Hurson spent the bulk of his career in New York. In the 1980s he created a group of large portrait drawings, conflating Cubist fracturing of space with comedic graphic conventions. This portrait of the Chicago collector Will Hokin was first exhibited at the museum in 1984.</p>
