Printmaking
Walasse Ting was an American painter and printmaker born in Shanghai in 1929 who became known for vibrant abstract compositions and figurative works executed in oil, watercolor, and lithography. His practice emerged from postwar abstraction while maintaining a distinctive lyrical sensibility and bold use of color. Ting worked across painting, sculpture, and the printed image throughout a career spanning six decades.
