Printmaking

Pol Bury was a French sculptor and kinetic artist whose motorized bronze and wood constructions produced barely perceptible movements, challenging the stillness traditionally expected of sculpture. Working primarily from the 1950s onward, he created wall-mounted and freestanding pieces that combined mathematical precision with subtle mechanical action, often incorporating pulleys, gears, and motors to generate imperceptible shifts in form. His work bridged Constructivism and Kinetic Art, reducing gesture to its most minimal register. This profile will be expanded as more verified source material becomes available.
