Miguel Rio Branco is a Brazilian photographer and filmmaker whose work combines saturated color, fragmented compositions, and layered imagery to document human vulnerability and social precarity. Working across photography, video, and installation since the 1970s, he has developed a visual language marked by close-up perspectives, color distortion, and dense montage. His practice engages with themes of poverty, desire, and bodily experience, often in urban and marginal spaces.
