Felix Beltran was a Cuban graphic designer and painter whose bold, reductive screen prints and oils merged modernist abstraction with socialist political messaging. From the 1960s onward, his work became emblematic of Cuban revolutionary visual culture, employing simplified geometric forms, flat color fields, and typographic clarity to create arresting public imagery. Beltran treated graphic design and fine art with equal conceptual rigor, dissolving the boundary between propaganda and formal modernism.
