Sarah Grilo was an Argentine painter and printmaker whose abstract compositions emerged from the postwar geometric and constructivist movements. Working primarily in oil and etching, she developed a disciplined vocabulary of interlocking planes and linear forms that shifted between figuration and abstraction. Based between Buenos Aires and Europe, Grilo's work synthesized the rationalism of European modernism with Argentine artistic currents.
