1965·Color lithograph from three stones on cream wove paper·Sheet: 65.3 × 50 cm (25 3/4 × 19 11/16 in.)

The principal compositional element in Persian Garden was drawn by simply puddling the liquid tusche and letting it flow naturally over the stone’s porous surface. The effect mimics the “soak-stain” technique Frankenthaler had developed in her paintings.
