Dora Jung
Dora Jung was a Finnish textile artist and designer whose woven works combined modernist abstraction with traditional Finnish weaving techniques. Working primarily in wool and silk from her studio in Helsinki, she developed a distinctive practice that treated the loom as a tool for color and light experimentation rather than pattern repetition. Her textiles were exhibited internationally and acquired by major design institutions throughout the postwar period. Jung's approach bridged craft tradition and contemporary art, establishing her as a significant figure in twentieth-century Nordic design.
