Mixed Media
Jack Lenor Larsen is an American textile designer and weaver whose work redefined postwar fiber arts through experimental use of unconventional materials and large-scale architectural installations. Working primarily in handwoven textiles, he combined traditional loom techniques with industrial yarns, plastics, and found fibers to create tactile surfaces that functioned as both art objects and functional design. Larsen's practice bridged fine art and production textiles, establishing textiles as a primary medium for contemporary artistic expression rather than craft alone.
