Charles Wilp was a German photographer and graphic designer active in postwar Europe. Working primarily in black and white photography and experimental typography, he developed a distinctive visual language that merged modernist design principles with documentary observation. Based in Düsseldorf, Wilp's practice bridged commercial and fine art contexts, establishing him as a key figure in the German design renaissance of the 1960s and 1970s.
