Serge Mouille
Serge Mouille was a French lighting designer and sculptor whose cast-aluminum and brass fixtures defined postwar modernism. Working in his Paris studio from the 1950s onward, he developed articulated floor and wall lamps with pivoting arms and organic forms that merged industrial production with sculptural invention. His lighting objects occupy the space between furniture and functional art, characterized by restrained geometry and an emphasis on the quality of light itself rather than decorative surface.
