Yevgeny Khaldei was a Russian photojournalist and documentary photographer who documented Soviet military campaigns and industrial development from the 1930s through the Cold War era. His most iconic image, the Soviet flag raised over the Reichstag in Berlin in 1945, became a symbol of Soviet victory and has been widely reproduced.
