Carl-Henning Pedersen

Carl-Henning Pedersen was a Danish painter and printmaker whose abstract compositions combined geometric forms with organic, biomorphic shapes in bold, often clashing color fields. Active from the 1930s onward, he became a central figure in postwar Nordic abstraction, developing a visual language that bridged constructivism and lyrical expressionism. His work appeared in major Scandinavian exhibitions and collections throughout the mid-twentieth century.
