Antoine Pevsner was a Russian-born sculptor and painter who developed a distinctive abstract language using transparent and opaque planes of celluloid, copper, and bronze. Working in Paris from the 1920s onward, he created constructions that dematerialized solid form through intersecting geometric surfaces and voids, establishing himself as a founding figure in kinetic and constructivist sculpture.
