Cundo Bermúdez was a Cuban painter whose work emerged from the postwar modernist movement in Havana. Working primarily in oil and watercolor, he developed a distinctive visual language that merged European modernism with Caribbean light and subject matter, often depicting architectural spaces, interiors, and urban scenes rendered in a controlled, structured palette. His practice bridged abstraction and figuration, establishing him as a significant voice in twentieth-century Cuban art.
