Alfredo Boulton was a Venezuelan photographer and art historian active in the postwar period. Born in 1908, he documented Venezuelan culture and landscape through photography while simultaneously establishing himself as a critical voice in Latin American art history. His dual practice as both maker and theorist positioned him as a central figure in mid-twentieth-century Venezuelan cultural institutions.
