Friedrich Vordemberge-Gildewart was a Dutch abstract artist and designer working primarily in geometric abstraction and constructivism from the 1920s onward. His practice encompassed painting, sculpture, and graphic design, characterized by strict rectilinear compositions and a commitment to pure abstraction as a means of formal investigation. Active across Europe during the interwar and postwar periods, he engaged with the theoretical frameworks of De Stijl and concrete abstraction.
