Printmaking
Jerome Myers was an American painter and printmaker active in the early twentieth century, known for urban genre scenes and portraits rendered in oil and etching. Working primarily in New York, he documented the daily life of working-class and immigrant communities with particular attention to street vendors, tenement dwellers, and neighborhood gatherings. His approach combined social observation with a fluid, gestural line that anticipated modernist sensibilities while remaining rooted in figurative tradition.
