Pietro Chiesa
Pietro Chiesa was an Italian designer and glassmaker active in the early-to-mid twentieth century. Working primarily in blown and cast glass, he developed a modernist aesthetic that departed from the ornamental excess of Art Nouveau while maintaining craft refinement. Based in Milan during the Fascist period and post-war years, Chiesa contributed to the development of Italian design language in glass and decorative arts.
