Las Palmas Iles Canaries

Antonio Ares Moliné was a Spanish painter active in the early twentieth century whose work emerged during a period of significant political upheaval in Spain. Working primarily in oil, he engaged with modernist formal experiments while remaining rooted in Spanish artistic traditions. His career was cut short by his death in 1937, at the threshold of what would become the Spanish Civil War.
