Slavonic Dancer

Harriet Whitney Frishmuth was an American sculptor known for figurative works in bronze and stone, often depicting dancers and mythological subjects in fluid, graceful poses. Active throughout the early to mid-twentieth century, she developed a refined approach to modeling the human form that balanced classical restraint with Art Deco sensibility. Her work appeared in major American exhibitions and public collections.
