Marcel Lenoir was a French painter and printmaker active in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Working primarily in oil and etching, he developed a figurative practice rooted in symbolism and literary themes. His compositions often drew on classical and medieval subjects, rendered with a romantic sensibility characteristic of early modernist salon culture.
