Augustus Vincent Tack was an American painter and muralist known for large-scale abstract compositions that synthesized modernist geometry with spiritual and metaphysical concerns. Working primarily in oil on canvas, he developed a distinctive approach to non-representational form that balanced geometric precision with an underlying sense of transcendence. His mural commissions included significant works for institutional and private spaces in the early-to-mid twentieth century.
