Henri Le Fauconnier
Painting
A leading French Cubist painter, Henri Le Fauconnier is known for his dynamic depictions of landscapes, figures and still lifes. Inspired by Cézanne, Le Fauconnier evolved a style employing muted colors, bold outlines and interlocking shapes to convey volumetric relationships. Exhibiting alongside the other “Salon Cubists” (also known as the Section d’Or or Puteaux Group), Le Fauconnier played an important role in popularizing the movement.
