Trees Against the Sky

Alfred Hutty was an American printmaker and painter known for his etchings and watercolors of landscape and architectural subjects. Active primarily in the early-to-mid twentieth century, he worked across etching, drypoint, and watercolor, with a particular interest in coastal and rural American scenes. His prints demonstrate a refined technique in line work and tonal control characteristic of the printmaking revival of his era.
