Southern Street

Anne Goldthwaite was an American painter and printmaker working in oil, watercolor, and etching during the early twentieth century. Born in Alabama in 1869, she developed a practice rooted in figure study and landscape representation, with particular attention to light and atmospheric effect. She maintained studios in New York and Paris, engaging with modernist movements while sustaining a commitment to representational form.
