Henry Salt was a British draughtsman and antiquarian active in the early nineteenth century. Working primarily in pencil and watercolor, he documented archaeological sites and classical subjects with precision and scholarly attention. Salt's drawings served both as records of material culture and as finished works of art in their own right.
