Domenico Guidi was an Italian Baroque sculptor active in Rome during the seventeenth century. Working primarily in marble, he created religious and allegorical figures characterized by dynamic drapery and emotional intensity typical of the period. His commissions included major ecclesiastical and papal projects that cemented his reputation as a leading sculptor of his generation.
