Giacinto Gimignani was an Italian Baroque painter active in Rome during the seventeenth century. Working primarily in oil on canvas, he specialized in religious and mythological narratives rendered in the dramatic light and dynamic composition characteristic of High Baroque practice. His work remained rooted in the Roman tradition established by Caravaggio's followers, with particular attention to chiaroscuro and narrative intensity.
