Daniel Rabel was a French painter and designer active in the early 17th century, known for his work in court entertainment and decorative schemes. Based in Paris, he created designs for ballets, masquerades, and theatrical productions under royal patronage, combining painting with costume and set design. His practice bridged the applied and fine arts at a moment when such distinctions were not yet firmly established. Little documentation of his original works survives, though his influence on French court visual culture of the period remains significant.
