Fede Galizia was an Italian painter born in Milan in 1578, active during the late Renaissance and early Baroque periods. She is documented as one of the few women painters of her era to achieve sustained professional recognition, working in oil on canvas across religious and still-life subjects. Her still lifes, in particular, demonstrate a sophisticated understanding of light, spatial arrangement, and the detailed rendering of fruits, flowers, and domestic objects.
