
Triumph of Caesar
<p>Andrea Mantegna painted <em>The Triumphs of Julius Caesar </em>between 1484 and 1494 for the Gonzaga palace in Mantua. They were copied in a series of grisaille paintings by Francesco Malpizzi. In 1599, Andrea Andreani made a complete set of chiaroscuro woodcuts after these grisailles.</p>
