Lyne Lapointe works across painting, drawing, found-object assemblage, and site-specific installation, drawing on art history, museology, botany, and feminist thought as interlocking frameworks. The range of her practice reflects a sustained engagement with institutional and natural systems, moving between the museum as subject and the organic world as formal material. Based in Mansonville, Quebec, she has exhibited widely across Canada and in New York City. Her site-specific work, produced intensively between 1981 and 1995, remains a defining chapter in her output.
