Kurt Kranz was a German abstract artist and typographer whose practice bridged geometric abstraction and functional design across painting, printmaking, and typography. Active from the 1930s through the postwar period, he developed a systematic approach to color and form rooted in Constructivist principles. Kranz worked across multiple mediums including lithography and graphic design, applying rigorous mathematical relationships to create compositions of disciplined visual order.
